The Portland Sufi Center
is a local center of the Sufi Order International, founded by Hazrat Inayat Khan. Our classes and activities emphasize the cultivation of the heart and the incorporation of spirituality into everyday life to realize this Living Reality.

Sufi Order Meetings
These meetings provide an opportunity to experience the teachings and practices of the Sufi Order on a continuing basis. The classes also include appropriate meditation practices and music and are open to initiates in any of one of the orders in the lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan.

Gatha Classes meet generally on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Suluk Classes meet generally on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. For more information about these classes, contact Nasiban or Samuel Vilayat (contact info below).

Public Classes
Inquirers Classes are held as announced. Check this page periodically for information.

Absent Healing Circle
The Absent Healing Service is held on the first Sunday of each month. For information about the service, visit Absent Healing. To have your name placed on the healing list, or for more information about participating in the service, email or call Hayyat Dohrmann (503-305-6450).

Sufi Initiation
The Sufi Order is an initiatory school. That is, full access to the Sufi teachings and to a teacher in the Sufi Order requires initiation into the Sufi Order. For more information about this process, contact either of the Center Representatives (below) or visit this page.
